Introduction

Bersirc comes with many great features, but there is always room for more! For that reason, Bersirc can be customised and controlled through the use of scripts and plugins. Scripts are text files with special programming commands (Object Pascal based) that Bersirc reads in response to certain user actions, like the typing of a command or someone joining a channel.

Plugins perform a similar rôle, but they are compiled libraries (.dll or .so files). Anyone can write a script, but to build a plugin you need to have access to a compiler which can output native Windows libraries (or native Linux ones in the near future).

Plugins

These plugins work with the 1.4x build ranges. To use, Simply drop the .dll into the {$BERSIRC}\Plugins folder.

xsm0.5.zip This excellent plugin by Martin Bleakley lets you add quick shortcuts to often used commands in Bersirc. It is extremely simple to use and very attractive. Try it out.

sysinfo200.zip This plugin by LordSmoke and TAtari allows you to type /sysinfo to display system information to the active window. Information contains a ram-useage meter. This new version works on ALL operating systems.

addrbk12.zip This plugin provides Bersirc with an mirc-like address book. It is an excellent plugin written by Leonard Boot.

These plugins work with the 1.2x and 1.3x build ranges.

cLag14.zip Server Lag Monitor. This plugin lets you know how many seconds you are lagged between your local connection and your IRC server. [Bersirc 1.35+]

winamp28.zip Winamp 2.x remote control plugin - now with playlist features! Updated with many excellent new features for Bersirc 1.3x.

iuguide12.zip IRC User Guide (ships with Bersirc). Due to high demand, this updated plugin now remembers its visible state.

xDCC.zip XDCC List plugin written by TAtari. This plugin builds a list of files from a chosen directory and offers it to everyone in the specified channels. Works with 1.32+

SCheck.zip TAtari's Excellent Spell Checker plugin - not to be confused with the Auto-Correct Plugin which ships with Bersirc 1.30. Includes an English dictionary and configurable hot key.

dlmanager13.zip Download Manager Plugin - this plugin keeps a list of all files which have been sent to you, providing you with an easy method of access.
