What is IRC?
IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. The IRC was invented by Jarkko Oikarinen
Will the /commands be based around mIRC?
The commands will be based upon three sources:
Support for ALL ircII commands will be included. Support for many mIRC commands will be added, and many Bersirc specific commands and extensions will be added.
Will there be a port of Bersirc to Linux?
A linux port is definately in the works. While it isn't guaranteed, it is fairly likely.
Will there be any major changes in the Linux version of Bersirc?
At this point it is difficult to determine that, but all things being equal, there should be no need to remove anything from the Linux Version.
Will Bersirc be free or will I have to register it like mIRC?
Bersirc will be 100% free - no nags, no ads, real software for $0.00.
What colour are your socks?
Black.
How do we know Bersirc does not have a backdoor to our Hard Drives?
The same way you know with any other piece of Windows software - you don't. You will have to take my word for it.
Is there going to be support for colour themes?
Colours will be configurable in version 1. This includes text colours and control colours.
Do you like Coffee, and is it true that we get free coffee?
I love it - and no - none for you sorry :)

Will there be a port of Bersirc to BeOS?
At this time there are no plans for a port to BeOS.
How hard will it be to port my mIRC script to Bersirc?
Bersirc scripting is based on Object Pascal, which is a very simple language to learn. It has the added bonus of being able to perform very complex tasks. While the initial learning curve will be moderately steep, it will be short and swift.
Is there anyway we can help with Bersirc?
See the main page. There are a few items I have listed there which I need help with.
What versions of Windows does Bersirc run under?
Windows95, 98, NT3.5, NT4 and Win2k (NT5). Bersirc will not run under Windows 3.11 (it may run under win32s)
Is there a Bersirc mail list I can join?
Yes, go here. Traffic is low, but will increase as time goes on. At the moment the list serves more as an announcement list.
Can I import my mIRC servers.ini into Bersirc?
You can indeed. This is easily achieved with the Import / Export Wizard.

This is something I hope to add - though it may not be in version 1.0.
Can I stop user's /me commands from been shown?
This will be possible through /ignore of CTCPs - however, I may consider adding an "action only" ignore type, or global. If you want it, ask.
Can Bersirc be minimized to the system tray?
Indeed it can.
Where and when do and can i download it?
At this time, nowhere. Once the client is finished, it will be available on the downloads page.
Will it support IRCX?
Originally the answer was no. However, I decided that I would add support for IRCX. At this time I have only a few IRCX features left to implement.
Can I use my mouse wheel in Bersirc?
Yes, you can. All channel, query, chat, &c. windows permit the use of the mouse wheel.
Does Bersirc support resume in DCC sends/gets?
Yes, Bersirc supports resume for incoming and outgoing DCC file sends.
