If you would rather compile from source or contribute to development, you should check out the sources from SubVersion. Until the Linux/GTK port is usable, we are not going to be releasing tar.gz versions of the source. So simply download SubVersion (TortoiseSVN is a great Windows client) and check out Claro and Bersirc:
